Pricing Analysis
Ghost starts at $18/mo, which is in line with other newsletter platforms (average ~$25/mo). The free plan (Self-hosted open-source version is completely free; no free tier on Ghost(Pro)) lets you test the platform before committing. It's a reasonable starting point for very small lists, though you'll likely outgrow it once your subscriber count passes the limit. There's a significant price jump between the entry plan ($18/mo) and the top tier ($239/mo). Make sure you actually need the premium features before upgrading — many independent publishers and bloggers teams do fine on the mid-tier plan.
